People can be assigned to vehicles on a reservation, and after they are assigned Farebox will track their acknowledgement so everyone knows who has agreed to what. You can think of this as similar to accepting a calendar invite.
After being assigned to a reservation Farebox will place an icon next to the driver or staff member’s name to indicate their response. When viewing a reservation that you are assigned to you’ll see a prompt asking you to confirm the assignment.
Acknowledgement can be set to to 3 possible states - Unknown (?) Decline (𝖷) or Accept (✓). The default is “Unknown” and pressing the “Yes, I’ll be there” button accepts the assignment request.
You'll also notice that on the today view and on the reservation view each assigned staff member will have their acceptance status next to their name:
This is similar to how other Farebox users will see assignment status when viewing reservations as viewers either in the admin interface or the driver view.
It is possible for anyone with editing privileges to manually set staff confirmation status while editing a reservation. This exists to help admins set accurate information when drivers or other staff prefer to communication with them outside of Farebox or simply if confirmation is best handled in person or via phone/text/etc.
Farebox will attempt to notify staff once they’ve been assigned to a booking via email or SMS based on their notification preferences. Read How to manage your notification preferences for more information.
Notification messages provide a link back to the reservation so the person that receives it can easily provide a response.
