Visit the users tab

Visit the “users” tab using the left side menu, and press the “+ Invite” button in the top right corner. This will bring you to the user create screen.

Enter email and "send invite"

To invite your user enter as many details as you can about them.

Choosing a user’s role is important because it determines what that user can see and do. See User Roles for help choosing the right one.

Bookability is a way of saying whether or not a user will show up in the Staff dropdown when assigning people to a vehicle. This does not have to mean they are a driver, and is also useful for tour guides, bus aides and other non-driver roles. If you have staff that you don’t anticipate being in vehicles uncheck “Bookable?” so that cannot be accidentally chosen as staff to fulfill a reservation.

Once you send the invite you’ll see your new user show up in an “invited users” section. From here you can resend or cancel the invite. Invites expire after 30 days.

<aside> 💡 Note that your new user will be sent an invitation link via email. They must accept your invite and confirm their information before you can begin adding them to reservations within Farebox.

When a user accept their invite they can change their own name if they want, and must choose a password. They cannot change their email address, and they’ll use that same email address to log in.

Don't forget to add (or ask them to add) phone number for SMS

We use SMS reminders to let drivers know when they’ve been assigned to a job and to remind them before a shift, so you’ll probably want to add their cell phone number here.
